Grass-fed Ground Beef, Pan-Fried Asparagus, and Jasmine Rice
Quick, Easy, and Healthy! Grass-fed Ground Beef, Pan-Fried Asparagus, and Jasmine Rice:
This entire meal took less than 30 minutes to prepare--and you know I like that!
And it was devoured in less than 15 (even though I encouraged everyone to slow down...).
For the ground beef:
-1lb grass-fed ground beef added to sautéed onions (previously sautéed in grass-fed butter) in a large pan.
-cook meat through on low to medium heat.
- add appx. 1 to 1.5 cup of organic pasta sauce (depending on how "saucy" you like it). Mix well with cooked beef.
-mix in 1-2 tbsp raw honey.
-sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.
For the asparagus:
-I pan "fried" in 1 tbsp coconut aminos (see picture. A delicious alternative to soy sauce!) on low to medium heat for a few minutes. Keep close to pan and cook to preferred softness.
For the rice:
-1 cup dried jasmine rice was enough for entire family. I cooked according to directions, but replaced half the water with organic chicken broth in order to add flavor. I sprinkled it with zaatar spice that we brought back from Israel (my husband is in love with it).
