My oldest daughter challenged her little sisters to a Chopped/Master Chef Jr competition. They had to use clementines, dates, and toasted coconut to create "unique, creative, and delicious snacks." They then explained their dish while she tasted and critiqued. What a creative way for her to get little sisters to make her food. Healing Bone Broth
I always have frozen homemade bone broth on hand, but since our youngest has double ear infections and will have to be on a round of antibiotics, I'm immediately preparing more broth to replace the ones I'll be putting into soup tonight. Simple Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Accidental Broccoli "Chips"
I love when accidents turn out to be good things! Last night, while watching Whiplash with the hubby, I put broccoli florets in the oven to roast, forgot to get the timer going, and got really into the movie. By the time I got up and realized the broccoli florets were still in the oven, they got a good char on them. Sweet and Refreshing Carrot Salad
This shredded carrot/raisin/orange juice salad is one that my mom and Safta used to make for us when we were little, so it reminds me of my childhood, especially of my after school snacks. Simply Roasted Vegetables
I never miss an opportunity to make (and devour) simple roasted vegetables. This is one of my comfort foods. Add a healthy protein (like grass fed beef, grilled fish, oven-roasted chicken, pastured eggs), and high-quality fat (ex. avocado, coconut oil, nuts/seeds), and voila, you've got yourself a fantastically healthy meal!
